It is going to mean a terrible struggle if you are going to succeed, so you have to very certain that you are doing the right thing.    You must be sure that you want to be with your ex for the next few years.  If you are not you should get divorce immediately and move on.

You are now ready to start the work which will be necessary.  Get it firmly in the back of your mind that you are committed to your relationship, so forget about the divorce courts and start moving forward. 

You must realize that there are going to have to be some changes in your relationship.  If it is you who is doing most of the pushing to stay with your ex, you must accept, whether you like it or not, that it is you who is going to have to change more than him. 

You are going to need to talk more with your partner.  If he has interests that he will let you share with him, you should get involved even if they my not be your favorite pastimes.  You have to get to know him again so you must look for occasions when you can talk to each other and rekindle a mutual interest in what each of you is doing.

They will help you analyze your problems and put them in their true perspective. They will help you learn to listen to each other which is so important, particularly in the early stages while you are learning to know and love each other once again.  They will teach you the art of compromising.

Marriages are never perfect but you have to be able to work something out between the two of you that will satisfy both of you, save your marriage and give you the chance to grow stronger together.
