If you find yourself in a relationship with a married man it is important that you understand why men don’t leave their wives.  It’s true, married men rarely leave their wives for another woman.  They often promise their mistress that they will when the time is right, but the right time never or rarely comes.

Women are compassionate, loving, forgiving, kind, and even rather gullible.  You might think he’ll leave his wife because she’s old, fat, mean, stupid, bossy, and she may indeed be all of these.  She probably isn’t, however, as if she were it would be difficult to understand why he ever married her at all. The reason he has sought you out is more likely that he has lost interest in his own relationship and you just happened to appear at the right moment for him. 

Few women would knowingly start a relationship with a married man if he told them how great his wife was.  The basic truth is that it is likely he is just telling you a story so you have a reason for having sex together. 

Men, like women, cheat on their partner when they lose interest in their marriage because their needs are not being catered for.  This does not necessarily mean that they have lost all interest in their partner. 

There are so many considerations to be taken care of if they do decide to leave.  What will the family think?  How is it going to affect the children?  Even the cost and hassle of a divorce may enter into consideration.

The fact that they are not prepared to face up to their problems and divorce, is a serious indication of their character or lack of it.  They are unable or unwilling to decide or otherwise said, are indecisive people by nature.  They have a marriage that does not function with a wife who is probably just left to accept the situation.    They are often selfish as they are trying to get the best of both worlds on the relationship front.  Just as they are unwilling to leave their wife, they are happy to let their mistress believe that one day they will. 

So if you are a woman who finds herself in this situation, you know precisely what you are letting your self in for and also the type of person you are involved with. You have to realize that he will probably never leave his wife, as relatively few do. The reason for him not wanting to leave his wife is of little importance.   If this is the type of man you want to try to catch, you know what to expect.   You have made your choice and so you now must live with it.
